An Aberdeen police officer who admitted lying and falsifying evidence will have to wait until next month to learn his fate.
Graeme McEwan was called to deal with a car crash at Aberdeen International Airport and failed to interview several people, then lied about how he had dealt with the investigation – and was caught out.
The 48-year-old had been due to be sentenced yesterday at Aberdeen Sheriff Court but after issues with the crown narrative of events were raised his fate was put on hold for a further fortnight.

McEwan, who was represented in court by solicitor Paul Barnett, previously pled guilty to an offence of neglecting and violating his duties.
The offence relates to a collision which took place on May 18, 2016 and McEwan, whose address was given as Police Scotland, Inverurie Road, Bucksburn, was called to the airport to deal with it..
