Searches for missing man William Ritchie are continuing as sightings of the pensioner continue to be reported to police.
The 90-year-old, known as Bill, was reported missing by his neighbours at West Road, Fraserburgh on January 14.
Since then searches by specialist officers, the local coastguard and the RNLI have been ongoing.
Inspector Kevin Goldie said: “The last verified sighting we have of Bill is at Asda on December 21.
“However, numerous people have been in touch to say they saw him in the days following New Year.
“This information has been crucial to help us build a picture of Bill’s daily routine and to identify places he was known to walk to.
“Today I appeal once again to anyone who saw Bill in the couple of weeks leading up to him being reported missing to please get in touch.
“We are still receiving extremely useful sightings of him and helpful information about places he had walked to in the past.
“Searches have been ongoing today in the Philorth area assisted by specialist officers, in addition to planned searches organised for the Peathillarea.
“Our focus this week very much remains on continuing the search for Bill in the hope we can find him.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident no. 2549 of Jan 14.
