An award-winning restaurant has a new name after being taken over by new owners earlier this month.
Alex and Ruth Grahame sold Hornblowers in Gourdon just months after scrapping plans to open a bistro-style restaurant and takeaway at Aberdeen beach.
The restaurant won a string of award thanks to its commitment to locally-caught seafood.
New owners Ewen Lovie and Noel Brown have renamed the eatery The Quayside.
Mr Lovie, who hails from Peterhead and now lives in Aberdeen, said: “We haven’t changed anything except for the name as the previous owners ran such a good operation.
“We aim to keep running it to the high standards they achieved.”
Mr Lovie has previously worked for large restaurant chains including Frankie & Benny’s and Chiquito, as well as Cafe Society and Nero in Aberdeen.
His business partner, who is originally from Inverurie but now lives in Gourdon can count on experience gained working for bar operator Belhaven in Granite City pub The Globe Inn.
