Around 100 properties in part of Aberdeen have lost their water supply today.
Scottish Water has apologised to residents near affected while work on the damaged man is being carried out.
The water authority has said homes in AB15 and AB16 are “experiencing interruption to supplies”.
It is understood the supply was lost at 11am this morning.
A Scottish Water spokeswoman said: “Engineers are currently on site, responding to a burst water main in the Fernhill area of Aberdeen.
“Our team is in the process of re-routing water through other parts of the network to restore supply to around 100 currently affected customers in the AB15 and AB16 area.
“Repair work on the damaged main is being carried out at the moment and we aim to fully restore supply to those affected this evening.
“We would like to apologise to customers and road users who have experienced disruption and thank them for their patience while our team works to restore normal service as quickly as possible.”
