The north-east basked in some of the warmest weather of the year this weekend.
People packed out beer gardens and beaches in the city and Aberdeenshire, with temperatures topping 20C (68.18F) in Aboyne yesterday.
The high in Aberdeen itself was a touch cooler at 18C (64.4F), but still well above average.
Met Office weather expert Charlie Powell said: “The average maximum this time of year for Aberdeen should be 12C.
“It’s a combination of sunshine and wind direction.”
However the scorching weather was not expected to carry on into this week, with temperatures likely to dip back down to 13 or 14C (57.2F).
And football fans heading to Pittodrie tomorrow may even need to bring a brolly.
Charlie said: “Tuesday morning will be all right, but by lunchtime things will cloud over and then in the afternoon we could see a bit of rain.
“I think there will be some rain on Tuesday evening.”
