An Aberdeen City Council spokesperson said: “The Scottish Government has notified Aberdeen City Council that it is not going to call in the council’s recent decision to close Cordyce School, leaving it for the council to proceed with plans to close the school effective as of 1 April.

“The Scottish Government said in the notification that Scottish Ministers considered that Aberdeen City Council had fulfilled its obligations under the Schools Consultation Act 2010 and consequently decided not to call-in the proposal.”
