Work on a new supermarket in the North-east is set to get underway later this month.
Kirk Street, in Peterhead, will be shut for four weeks while flats at the former Kirkburn Mill are demolished.
The site will become home to a new Aldi with the supermarket chain aiming to have the store open by the end of the year.
It is hoped the new store will provide a £2.5million boost to the local economy and create 30 new jobs
The site will include Aldi and two separate retail units as well as 150 car parking spaces.
Aldi’s site would include two separate retail units and a car park for 150 shoppers.
Work is due to begin on January 24.
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “The road will be closed for 28 days in the interest of public safety while demolition works take place to clear the site for a new supermarket.”
