Residents ‘told to stay indoors’ as North-east street shut after disturbance

Police are at the scene.

Police officers have cordoned off an area of a North-east town after an incident.

Tape is currently blocking the entrance to Fernie Place in Fraserburgh.

A Police Scotland spokesman said officers were called to scene following reports of a disturbance at 4am.

It is understood an ambulance is also in attendance.

Residents in the area have taken to social media to report that they have been told to stay indoors by police.

Police declined to comment further on the nature of the incidents, but urged any witnesses to call 101.
