Residents living close to an Aberdeen hotel have raised concerns over a planned extension.
The Chester Hotel on Queen’s Road has said demand is rising for a venue to host larger functions.
Hotel bosses have insisted the plans would mean “no adverse impact” on neighbouring residents.
But Queen’s Cross and Harlaw Community Council has lodged an objection against the work.
The luxury hotel opened its doors in 2014 and since then residents have complained of noise from the hotel.
Community council chairman Ken Hutcheon said a larger function suite with an external staircase could only “make the situation even worse”.
The hotel’s general manager Stephen Gow said the current permitted operating capacity for the hotel would not be exceeded as the number of guests it was licensed for would not go up.
