A UK rapper is to headline an Aberdeen music festival this summer.
Example will lead the list of acts who will perform at the Enjoy Music Festival when it returns to Aberdeen’s Hazlehead Park on Saturday, June 4.
More than 500 tickets have been snapped up for the event, with the first batch selling out after only a day.
The award-winning DJ is best known for his two number one singles, Changed the Way You Kiss Me and Stay Awake.
The announcement of Example’s performance comes just two months after it was confirmed British rap star Tinie Tempah will also headline the show.
Organiser Russell Aitchison, who runs Digital Love Events and is the owner of Aitchie’s Ale House on Trinity Street, said: “We have a real diverse range of acts on offer including those in pop, rock, indie, ska, reggae, rap, hip hop, RnB, alternative, folk and all dance music genres including house, disco and techno.
“Example is a big name who has a huge following. A lot of people who want to see Tinie Tempah will also want to see Example which will be great.”
More than 40 acts will take to five different stages during the event.
A comedy tent, as well as an expanded food village and three separate bars, will also form part of the gig.
