Aberdeen school pupils have adopted a Swedish fitness trend as part of an annual clean up campaign.
Middleton Park pupils showed off their energetic approach to cleaning up their surroundings by combining running with picking up litter.
Plogging is just one of the school’s approaches to litter clearing this month as part of the Clean Up Aberdeen campaign.
Others include a film made by pupils to encourage everyone to pick up litter, a litter raffle, Design a Bin and a survey on litter problems.
Councillor John Wheeler, education operational delivery convener, said: “It was great to come along and see at first hand the pupils’ fantastic contribution to our annual campaign.
“They have come up with some wonderful and imaginative ideas on litter cleaning that exercise the body as well as the mind.”
Clean Up Aberdeen encourages members of the public to tidy up somewhere important to their area or for wildlife.
