A consultation on wheelchair accessibility in Aberdeen taxis will run until next month.
The survey is being conducted by Aberdeen City Council who introduced a policy in 1994 which required all new applicants for a taxi licence to be operating a wheelchair friendly vehicle.
Existing licence holders were at that time exempted but this exemption expires in June 2019 meaning the whole fleet would be wheelchair friendly.
Following proposals for a mixed taxi fleet to be considered, making use of both wheelchair accessible and saloon vehicles, the survey looks to find out the views of the public. Comments should be submitted by February 28.
