Licensing bosses in Aberdeenshire want to hear what people’s drinking habits are to help them shape the future of the licensed trade.
Every local authority has a statutory obligation to review its licensing policy within 18 months of a council election.
There are three boards in the region – north, central and south – and bosses hope to have new policies in place by November.
One of the issues will be whether people would want an over-provision policy in their ward. Over-provision policies are commonplace in other regions where it is deemed drinking has become a social problem.
