An investigation has been launched after primary school pupils were alleged physically and verbally abused by other children in an Aberdeen park.
Pupils from a city school were on a walk in Seaton Park yesterday when the incident allegedly took place.
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that during a class walk to Seaton Park, a group of pupils were approached by another group of children, who are alleged to have become abusive.
“None of the pupils were harmed and the matter was reported to the police.”
Police were notified at 10.45am.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: “We were informed of a disturbance involving a group of young people at Seaton Park.
“Four children have been traced, identified as being involved and will be reported to the relevant authority.
“Inquiries are still ongoing.”
