An Aberdeen man has been jailed and hit with an eight-year road ban after driving while disqualified.
Aden Robertson, 24, admitted driving while disqualified on Laurel Drive, Bridge of Don, on April 17.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.
Fiscal depute Jamie Dunbar said Robertson had been disqualified from driving for five years in 2014.
He said at around 12.30pm police had cause to attend a gym in the area where they found Robertson and a black Yamaha motorbike parked outside. He added: “CCTV showed the accused driving the motorcycle at the locus.”
Defence agent Iain Hingston said: “He’s very disappointed in himself.” He added he had been running late and that it was a “one off”.
Sheriff Philip Mann said: “You’ve got several previous convictions for driving while disqualified.”
He jailed Robertson, of Craibstone Avenue, Aberdeen, for eight months and banned him from driving for eight years.
