Staff demonstrate kindness at a north-east care home, inspectors have said.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Abbeyside Nursing Home on Institution Road, Elgin, on October 10 and have published their report.
More than 20 people live at the home, which was rated “adequate” by inspectors – the fourth best of six possible ratings.
“Staff demonstrated kindness. Their responses to residents and their interactions were positive,” said the report.
It added: “Meals looked attractive and nutritious.
“The dining room was a grand attractive room.
“We found that staff seemed motivated and they said they enjoyed their work.
“Staff morale was good among the day staff, and new staff felt they were welcomed into the staff group.”
One resident told inspectors: “Staff are very good here and very kind.”
