A North-east village has seen its Post Office service returned – but bosses have admitted a long-term solution to its postal woes has still to be found.
The Maud service had operated out of the Key Store shop in Station Road but that ceased in February.
Post Office chiefs have now come up with a temporary solution.
The service will be a “hosted outreach service”, operating from the Old Mart Cafe from 10am to 2pm every Wednesday.
Margaret Beaton, a supervisor at the cafe, said: “It will just take a while for everyone to get used to it, but I think it has already gone down quite well because it will save folk from travelling.”
