A crackdown on speeding motorists will continue next week – and police have warned drivers to stick to the limits.
The Evening Express reported on Tuesday that Police Scotland had launched an operation targeting speeding motorists on Westburn Road, Aberdeen.
Officers have been catching speeding drivers in the act using roadside speed guns and pulling over anyone going too fast.
A Police Scotland spokesman said officers stopped a number of drivers yesterday morning.
Pc Mark Everard said: “The majority of motorists were aware of the speed limit in the area.
“However, a few were stopped and educated in relation to their driving.
“Proactive patrols will continue in the area and we would like to remind drivers to drive at speeds appropriate to the road conditions, within the limit and with consideration for other road users.
“Concerns can be reported to police on 101.”
