Police are warning motorists to take extra care today due to high winds.
Emergency services were called to the A947, two miles outside Fyvie, at around 3pm due to a fallen tree. The road was cleared at around 3.40pm
In a post on social media, North East Police Division have warned the strong winds could mean “there’s debris on the roads from fallen trees and branches”.
They added: “Please take care on the roads and drive to the conditions if you’re out and about or on your way home tonight.”
Earlier today two schools in Aberdeenshire had to make changes to their school transport due to the high winds.
The Gordon Schools in Huntly and Inverurie Academy had to replace double decker buses with single decker coaches due to the weather.
And a warning from the Met Office is in place from 3am tomorrow for snow and ice across parts of the region.
