
A PROBE was under way today after a man was found unconscious on an Aberdeen street.
The man was discovered in the Lang Stracht area of Aberdeen with a head injury.
Emergency services were called to the area at around 12.30am today.
Paramedics took the man, whose age is unknown, to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
He was found in Shapinsay Court and the area was then sealed off by police.
Officers were today carrying out an investigation to find out how he ended up unconscious in the street.
Two areas either side of the Lang Stracht were taped off by police and were being guarded today by four officers.
One cordon covered paths and steps between Shapinsay Court and the south side of Lang Stracht.
To the north, a path leading to Rona Place was also taped off.
Police officers could be seen carrying out investigations.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm a man was found on the Lang Stracht area.
“The man had a head injury but it is unknown how it was caused.
“He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. An inquiry is on going to find out what happened.”
