
Police today launched a witness appeal after a man was seriously assaulted on the street outside an Aberdeen hotel.
The 41-year-old was attacked outside the Malmaison on Queen’s Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
His condition is not known.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to a woman who helped the man in the aftermath of the incident.

A police spokesman said: “Between midnight and 1.30am on Sunday April 21, a 41-year-old male was assaulted outside the Malmaison, Queen’s Road, Aberdeen.
“Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses and in particular a woman who offered assistance to this man.”
