Police have slammed vandals who destroyed a football pitch.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the vandalism to Morriston Playing Fields in Elgin.
A vehicle was driven on the pitch and was used to perform skids, damaging the grass.
The incident is thought to have happened between 2pm on Sunday, October 30, and 9am on Wednesday.
Investigating officer Pc Barry Corbett, from the Elgin local policing team, said: “This is a mindless act of vandalism that has seen the grass at Morriston playing fields churned up and badly damaged by someone using a vehicle to perform skids.
“A number of community groups and clubs that rely on using the playing fields cannot play on the pitch in its current state and will have to look elsewhere to play their games until the damage is sorted.
“We will be checking CCTV in the area in an effort to catch the culprits.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
