A police dog has rescued a man who was found lying in a ditch in Aberdeen.
Concerns were raised for the man’s welfare at around 9.15pm yesterday and extensive searches were made in Bucksburn.
An officer and a dog found the man in a ditch near the Hopetoun Grange area shortly before midnight after searching a number of fields.

The man was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Chief Inspector Delyth Cunnah said: “This was a great piece of work by local officers, the dog handler and their dog who were able to use their expertise to find a vulnerable missing man.
“The work of police dogs and their handlers is not to be underestimated as the search was carried out in difficult and dark conditions.
“This is just one example of the great work our police dogs and their handlers do on a daily basis.”
