Police at north-east primary school after incident involving pupil with knife

Police were called to a north-east primary school after a pupil was involved in a disturbance with a knife.

A 999 call was made at about 3pm yesterday following reports of an ongoing incident.

Parents with pupils at the school were notified of the incident by staff yesterday.

It is understood the pupil did not bring the knife into school but that a weapon was involved.
