A school was damaged by vandals twice in the space of three days.
Banff Primary School was targeted on June 29 just before 12.30am when a wheelie bin and traffic cones were thrown on to the roof, damaging tiles.
Police are looking to trace two people seen on the roof at that time.
Pc Julie Galloway said: “We would urge anyone who has any information or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact us on 101 using reference number CF0156640618.”
There was a separate incident on July 1 in which vandals removed sections of the floor from the school’s outdoor play area and also scratched words into a wood surface.
Pc Galloway added: “Any reports of antisocial behaviour or vandalism will be treated seriously and investigated thoroughly.
“We would like to remind our community to report anything suspicious they see around the school or elsewhere.”
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “We are disappointed to hear about these instances of vandalism.
“We ask people to be extra vigilant during the summer period when school sites are empty and to report any suspicious behaviour.”
