Police are appealing for information after a spree of thefts in a north-east town.
Three cars were taken in the incidents, which occurred between Saturday night and early Sunday morning in Stonehaven.
Two houses were broken into, one on Provost Barclay Drive and another on Kings Road.
A number of electrical and personal items were taken from the Kings Road home, including a TV.
A silver Audi A4, with the registration FY60 OAC, was also stolen.
A silver Toyota Avensis with the registration SY06 RXR was taken from the Provost Barclay Drive home, but has since been recovered.
Another car, a grey Volkswagen Golf GTI with the registration X11 GGY, was taken from the Macdonald Road area.
Thieves also tried to gain entry to two garden sheds on Brickfield Road, but were unsuccessful.
Detective sergeant Andy Machray said: “This has understandably been distressing for the property owners and a thorough investigation is under way.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in their neighbourhood to contact us particularly in the Brickfield area of Stonehaven.
“I would also urge homeowners to continue to review your security. Additional patrols are being carried out but please don’t make it easy for opportunistic thieves.
“Keep all your doors and windows locked at all times, even when you are at home.
“If you see anything unusual please contact police as soon as you can with as much information as possible including descriptions of people and make, model and registration of any cars.
“Police can be contacted on 101 and Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
