Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to come forward after thieves targeted a number of homes in two North-east communities.
The house raids occurred in the Fraserburgh and Inverallochy areas over the weekend and into this week. The properties targeted were at Fraser Crescent in Inverallochy and at Derbyhall Avenue and Blantyre Crescent in Fraserburgh.
The houses involved were all hit by thieves between Friday and yesterday.
Several items were taken from the properties, including jewellery and cash.
Pc Aileen MacGowan of Police Scotland said: “We are urging anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the areas to get in touch with us on 101.
“We would also like to remind homeowners to take all the necessary precautions they can to prevent themselves becoming a victim of opportunistic thieves.”
Pc MacGowan added: “This includes locking all doors and windows and keeping high value property out of sight.”
