Staff from a north-east playgroup provide a nurturing environment for children to play and learn, inspectors have said.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Monymusk Playgroup at Jubilee Hall on June 20 and have now published their report.
The group can look after up to 30 children aged two and three.
Inspectors rated the group “good” for care and support – the third best of six possible ratings.
“Monymusk Playgroup staff’s welcoming, sensitive and friendly interactions created a nurturing environment for children to play and learn,” said the report.
It added: “Children were comfortable and confident in staff’s company and readily approached them for help and support.”
One parent told inspectors: “I am extremely happy with my daughter’s playgroup. Activities they do vary and are child-led and my daughter is always telling me about the exciting things they do.”
