Plans to turn former North-east hairdresser into cafe

Plans for the development have been lodged with Aberdeenshire Council

A planning application to turn a former hairdresser into a coffee shop and cafe has been lodged with the local authority.

Plans have been submitted by Angela Hart, of Angie’s Cafe for the former Kuttin Edge, in The Square, Tarland, to Aberdeenshire Council.

If accepted, Mrs Hart hopes the cafe can “create a unique place where customers can socialise with each other in a comfortable and relaxing environment”.

The council hopes to make a decision on the plans by April, with the expiry date for comments February 27.
