Plans to turn former Aberdeen chipper into cafe and flat

A new cafe and first floor flat could be built on the site of a former Aberdeen chip chop if plans are accepted.

The application for 152-154 Oscar Road in Torry was submitted to Aberdeen City Council this week by FWM Developments Ltd.

The application stated: “As part of the pre-app feedback, the planning history of the site was discussed and reference made to the previous planning permission for a hot food takeaway and first floor flat. It was also suggested by the planning officer that we utilise the angled nature of the site to create a glazed feature as part of the cafe design, which we were happy to do so.”
