Plans to convert a historic Aberdeen building into an artisan gin distillery have taken a step forward.
A building warrant application was submitted by architect Steve Douglas, agent for the scheme, to the local authority just before last Christmas asking for permission to convert one of the C-listed arches in Palmerston Road.
The site has been lying empty since last year and was used as a clothing warehouse.
The application has now been approved by Aberdeen City Council.
It is also proposed that visitors could tour the facility, attend tasting sessions and even make their own bottles of gin to take away.
