Plans for nearly 30 homes have been launched for a north-east village.
Fotheringham Property Developments has submitted a planning application to Aberdeenshire Council for 27 homes in Marykirk.
If approved the houses would be built on vacant land beside Wester Balmanno Way.
It would contain a mixture of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.
Planning documents lodged with the council said: “The development is located to the west of Marykirk. The A937 is located to east of the development and the B974 is located to the south west of the development.
“Access to the development is to be taken from the A937 public road by means of an adoptable road.”
Members of the public have until October 4 to submit a letter of support or objection.
Aberdeenshire Council has set a determination deadline for the application on November 3.
