Plans have been lodged to turn a former pub into a restaurant.
The proposals would see the vacant site of the former Ferryhill Tavern transformed.
Located on South College Street, the building has been subject to a number of planning proposals over the last few years.
West Coast Estates has lodged the development plans with Aberdeen City Council for a change of use of the site.
The new bid would see a restaurant occupy the ground floor of the building and a function space on the first floor.
Private dining and cookery demonstrations are also part of the plans.
A planning statement lodged with the local authority said: “This application seeks to address a number of concerns that were raised in respect of the previous proposals for the application site, and bring the building back into use in a way that is both complementary to the surrounding built environment and sympathetic to the amenity of surrounding residents. West Coast Estates proposes to bring the building back into use as a restaurant at ground floor level, with function space at first floor level.
“This is expected to generate fewer traffic trips than the shop use proposed previously, would create less potential noise than the current permitted use as a public house, and would be a valued addition to the food and drink offering in the area to the benefit of both locals and visitors.
“In bringing more people into the area it may also benefit the existing local shop.”
The pub was put on the open market in 2012 and bought by West Coast Estates in 2015.
The developer had initially launched plans to turn the pub into 10 homes, but that was withdrawn.
A proposal for the site to become a Co-op, creating 14 jobs, was submitted but then rejected by Aberdeen City Council last year.
Council officers recommended the plans be turned down, citing insufficient parking for the shop and adverse effects for nearby residents and smaller buildings.
The Scottish Government also dismissed an appeal.
