Plans lodged to create hotel rooms in Ury House walled garden

Proposals have been lodged to create hotel rooms within a walled garden.

If accepted, the plans, which were submitted to Aberdeenshire Council this week, would see 32 guest bedrooms and ancillary facilities created at Ury House in Stonehaven.

Previous permission was given to developers to build five hotel rooms on the site.

The design outlines the rooms would be built along the perimeter of the stately home’s walled garden.

A pavilion section is also proposed to be created in the centre of the garden, which will include a kitchen and seating area for up to 48 guests.
