A NEW pet store, veterinary practice and a grooming service could open at a North-east retail park.
Plans have been lodged to create a Pets At Home store at Aberdeen’s Bridge of Don Retail Park on Murcar Industrial Estate.
If approved, the retail would space house an operating theatre, a separate dog and cat waiting area and three consulting rooms.
A dog ward, cat ward, walk-in kennels and a grooming area would also be included in the plans for the vacant retail unit.
The proposals would offer a similar service to what is currently being offered at the city’s Beach Boulevard Retail Park by Pets at Home.
The potential of a new store for the area comes more than a year after plans to demolish the existing B&Q and Carpetright at the retail park to create a new supermarket were pulled, having been lodged in August 2010.
And B&Q has since renewed the lease on its premises.
