Plans for a new Burger King in a north-east town have been approved.
The fast food giant submitted plans to build a new drive-thru near the Invernettie roundabout in Peterhead.
According to documents submitted to Aberdeenshire Council, the eatery will be built on land accessed from Burnside Road, and alongside the main road into the town.
McDonald’s and KFC both have restaurants near the roundabout.

Plans also show a second building, containing two units, one of which is to become a Toolstation.
The designs also include a number of parking spaces for customers of all three units.
Approval was given for the development last week, however, it is not yet known when work is due to start.
