Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have today got married at a north-east church.
Rose Leslie arrived at Rayne Church with her father wearing a flowing ivory gown and veil.
Stepping out of the car, she smiled broadly at the crowd gathered outside the church and said “hello everyone”
The couple were married at Rayne Church in Aberdeenshire with their reception due to be held at the Leslie family’s 12th century Wardhill Castle.
Guests lined the path outside the church and newlyweds Harington and Leslie were cheered as they left and were showered with flower petal confetti.
The couple got into an old Land Rover Defender decorated with paper hearts with Just Married written on them and with tin cans tied to the back, which rattled as the couple drove off to the reception at Wardhill Castle.
The ceremony was held earlier this afternoon with fellow Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke and Sophie Turner among the A-list attendees.
Harington, wearing a morning suit, smiled to members of the public gathered outside the church in Kirkton of Rayne.
The father of Game Of Thrones actress Rose Leslie said he was “thrilled” for his daughter as she prepares to marry former co-star Kit Harington.
Speaking outside Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire earlier today, Rose’s father, Sebastian Leslie said: “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today.”
The local councillor added: “It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”
The couple met while filming the fantasy saga in 2012 and played on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte.
Rose shot to fame playing housemaid Gwen Dawson in Downtown Abbey before appearing as wildlingYgritte in GoT.
She went to primary school in Rayne before attending boarding school in England and then the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Londoner Harington has earned legions of fans as noble Jon Snow in the hit series and was spotted at the Leslie family’s property in December helping sell Christmas trees.
