A PETROL tanker caught fire on a busy road this morning.
Crews from North Anderson Drive and Central responded to the incident, which happened at around 6.40am.
The lorry caught fire around the wheel and brakes area of the vehicle on South Deeside Road, near the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre and the Ardoe House Hotel and Spa.
The driver managed to get out of the lorry before the fire started.
A Police Scotland spokesman added: “We have received a call of a lorry on fire and are currently attending.
“There isn’t anything suspicious and we have been called due to the location of the lorry on the road.”
