A car ended up on its roof following an early morning crash in the north-east.
The incident happened on the A90 southbound, close to the Fettercairn junction near Laurencekirk, at around 6.10am.
A fire service spokesman said crews were called to attend the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free one person trapped inside the car.
He added: “We then passed this person to the Scottish Ambulance Service and left the scene shortly before 8am.”

Officers have advised motorists to avoid the area as the road may be closed for some time.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to a one vehicle road crash on the A90 (southbound) between Stonehaven and Strathcathro near to the B974 Fettercairn junction.
“Emergency services remain at the scene. There are currently no detail on injuries.
“The road closed southbound) to allow officers to carry out inquiries, with diversions in place.”
