Pair in court after drugs worth almost £40,000 seized in north-east village

Two people have appeared in court charged in connection with a north-east drugs seizure worth almost £40,000.

Cannabis and cocaine worth more than £39,000 was recovered by police from the Kemnay area on Wednesday.

Sherwin Brown, 27, and Tamara Murray, 32, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court over the matter.

The pair, whose general address was given as Aberdeenshire, are facing two charges each of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

They made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.

Brown was remanded in custody and is expected in court again within the next week.

Murray was granted bail with no future court dates set.
