A traffic management system was set to be put in place on a busy Aberdeen road today.
Network Rail will be carrying out work to improve access for a site compound on the A90 Mugiemoss Road, by the Persley roundabout.
The overnight works will take place between 7pm and 6am from today until February 19.
A Network Rail spokesman confirmed the traffic management was to support works at Persley Den and it’s hoped the overnight operation will minimise disruption to road users.
The road will not be closed, however, there will be manned traffic lights in place, to allow workers to improve access to the site.
Network Rail is currently carrying out work around Kittybrewster and Tillydrone to clear the way for the doubling of the track as part of the Aberdeen-Inverness Improvement Project, to upgrade the railway between the cities.
It is also expected to increase capacity and improve journey times between Aberdeen and Inverurie and provide a day-time hourly commuter service between Inverness and Elgin.
