Hannah, who has represented Great Britain at three Olympic and Commonwealth Games, trained in the town in the early part of her sporting career.
As the guest of honour, the Olympian will open the ice rink at 10.30am and introduce a group of young figure skaters aged 7-14, who regularly compete at a national level.
Hannah said: “I’m really looking forward to this event.
“Inverurie has always been my home and to celebrate Christmas with the opening of the ice rink is a huge honour. I am excited to meet everyone.”
The rink will be in a marquee to the rear of the town hall.
