
AN OIL worker has been airlifted to hospital after falling ill on a North Sea platform.
Shetland Coastguard were called to the Beryl Alpha at 3.03pm today.
The man was taken from the platform, which is situated 208 miles north-east of Aberdeen, to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick, Shetland.
The man’s illness is unknown, however a coastguard spokesman added: “He was in a lot of pain.”
