The bases include Nov Asep Elmar in Echt and National Oilwell Varco Mission Products in the Howe Moss Drive area of Dyce.
The firm also has three bases in Portlethen and two in Montrose.
A spokeswoman for the firm said: “We are of the understanding that the number of possible job losses is likely to be around 100.”
Jake Molloy of the RMT union today said: “I have been getting e-mails from employees within the company about the redundancies since Saturday. And I think more redundancies are to come.”
Meanwhile, it is understood consultations are also underway at oil service equipment specialist firm FMC Technologies regarding possible job losses.
