Officers called to Aberdeen road after car crashed into grit bin

Police officers were called to the scene of a collision after a car came off the road and crashed into a grit bin.

The incident occurred just before noon on Garthdee Road, and involved one car, a silver Volkswagen Polo.

A Police Scotland spokeman said: “The call came in at just about 11.55am.

“It hit a dog bin and a grit salt bin.

“It did go on the grass verge, it traveled 200 metres from the carriageway.”
