A man who was stabbed nine times as he fought off terrorists with just a police baton has called on Aberdeen people to nominate an unsung hero.

British Transport Police Officer Wayne Marques was on patrol in the area of London Bridge Station on June 3 last year during the Borough High Street stabbing.

Wayne is calling on people who know of acts of courage or bravery to submit them for this year’s Amplifon Brave Briton awards.

Amplifon has a store on the city’s Union Street. For more information visit www.amplifon.com
