Staff care for and nurture children at a North-east school’s nursery, inspectors have said.
Monitors from the Care Inspectorate watchdog visited Kemnay Primary School on Grove Road, Kemnay, on December 18, and have now published an inspection report.
The nursery looks after up to 30 children aged between two and five.
Inspectors rated the nursery’s environment “very good” – the second highest of six possible ratings – and rated its care and support “good” – the third best rating.
“Staff were caring and nurturing and supported children to follow nursery routines,” said the report.
It added: “Parents and carers were made very welcome and were able to discuss any issues at drop off or pick up times.
“This led to positive outcomes for children.
“The children enjoyed weekly visits to the local woods. They were able to climb trees, run around and explore. This helped support their physical development.”
