PROPOSALS were today unveiled to turn a historic landmark in an Aberdeen park into a nursery.
Elgin-based Liberty Kids has revealed plans to turn Aberdeen’s Westburn House into a nursery with an outdoor play area.
The proposed development in Westburn Park would see the building, which was built in 1839, restored rather than demolished despite its poor condition.
The main play areas would be in the larger rooms to the south and west of the building. The veranda of Westburn House, which was built after Aberdeen City Council took ownership of the park in 1903, would also be kept, forming an outdoor play area if the plans are approved.
