Preparations are well under way as one North-east town gears up to enter the festive spirit.
The centrepiece of the inaugural Frozen Fraserburgh event will be an ice rink after the Rotary Club and local businesses joined forces to raise more than £10,000 to make it a reality.
It will be installed in Saltoun Square on Friday morning and will be covered by a marquee.
The festive late-night event will also feature children’s attractions, music, food and refreshments, as well as Christmas offers from shops and restaurants.

Organisers said they were astonished by the backing they received.
Super Saturdays co-ordinator Leona Findlay said: “Local people and businesses have been extremely generous.”
She added: “We took the decision to make the ice rink free for all to use so that everyone can afford to enjoy the experience.”
And Saturday will see the port’s Christmas celebrations step up another notch with the arrival of Santa aboard the lifeboat.
