North-east roads set to close for bridge inspections

North-east roads are set to close overnight for railway bridge inspection works.

The A957 Slug Road, in Stonehaven, will be shut tomorrow night into Wednesday morning for the work to take place.

Aberdeenshire Council has advised a diversion will be in place for the duration of the closure and is asking motorists to follow Westfield Road, Arduthie Road, Kirkton Road and Farrochie Road before rejoining the A957 Slug Road, and vice versa.

Kirkton Road, also in Stonehaven, will be closed from February 12 into February 13, also for overnight inspections.

Drivers can follow Arduthie Road, Westfield Road, Slug Road and Farrochie Road before rejoining Kirkton Road, and vice versa.

Aberdeenshire Council aims to carry out regular maintenance on more than 1,800 bridges.
